Dulwich Meat Free Days (now spreading to Peckham, Clapham & Brixton!)

Dmfd image web

Dulwich restaurants, shops and organisations will be supporting DMFD by offering meat-free options or encouraging their customers to try a meat free day!

Among them are Indian Mischief and Blue Brick cafe, St Stephens Church and St Johns, Dulwich College and Alleyn's School,  local councillors and MPs - so why don't you get involved!

What is DMFD?

On chosen days a large selection of restaurants, shops and other organisations in Dulwich will be promoting meat-free options. The Dulwich Vegan and Vegetarian Society (DVVS) are organising this scheme to promote a plant-based diet for the betterment of human health, the environment and animal welfare in Dulwich.

How can I get my organisation involved?

1) Promoting a ‘meat-free night’ where all your dishes/products are free from meat and fish or promoting your meat free options (both vegetarian and vegan) but still serving the meat dishes if specifically asked for.
2) Displaying a Dulwich Meat Free Day flyer (does not have to be in your window)
3) Mention DVVS next to your Vegetarian/ Vegan option

Your organisation will be positively promoted through the following media:

1) Local newspapers, magazines and radio
2) Magazines, websites and Facebook of the following international charities: Vegan Society, Vegetarian Society, Animal Aid, Viva, Support Meat Free Day.
3) DVVS website: www.dvvs.vegangroup.co.uk and @DulwichVeganSoc on Twitter
4) DVVS Facebook: The Dulwich Vegan and Vegetarian Society
5) Restaurant review sites, such as MyDulwich, The Reliant, Lordshiplane, East Dulwich Forum
6) enewsletter to our 150+ members
7) Posters throughout Dulwich, in libraries, shops and restaurants

The scheme will also be supported by local councilors, schools, libraries and churches, so get involved and make it a brilliant community event!
